It’s an enormous achievement to qualify for the National Open Championships and this year Norwood was represented by several swimmers: Arabella Bahr, Harrison Biddell, Noah Caton, William Gaertner, Fergus McLachlan, Isabel McLachlan, Matthew Pearce, Mia Slade, Emily White and Alana Williams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Busting his own record again…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Harrison Biddell absolutely smashed his PB (and also the state record) in the A final of the 200 breaststroke at the Australian Swimming Championships, to finish 5th in 2:15.16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same race, Olympic gold medallist Zac Stubblety-Cook broke the World Record, going 2:05.05, 0.17 seconds under the old record held by Russian Anton Chupkov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emily White – 200 fly, 400 free, 800m free and 400 IM (Age final)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alana Williams – 200 IM and 400 IM (Age final)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matt Pearce – 200 breast (B final)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harrison Biddell – 200 breast (A final – and breaking his own State record, set at last month’s Australian Age Championships, in the heats this morning.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
