Team Norwood were incredible over the eight days of competition, finishing the championships with two gold, one silver and five bronze, plus many finalists and a huge number of PBs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting records<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Between them, swimmers from Norwood set an incredible EIGHT individual South Australian records. We also had swimmers who were part of THREE record-breaking relay teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>\"\ud83c\udfca\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\" Norwood was led by the brilliant Brooke Simpson, who claimed FIVE S10 records, the highest number of records set by an SA swimmer at the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open 50m freestyle S10 – 34.67 (also a 16-18 years record)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open 400m freestyle S10 – 5:46.84 (also a 16-18 years record)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

16-18 years 100m backstroke S10 – 1:30.33<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83c\udfca\u200d\u2642\ufe0f\" We also congratulate Luc Lindsay, who claimed the 18 years 800m freestyle record – 8:26.02<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83c\udfca\u200d\u2642\ufe0f\" Logan Rieck’s name goes in the record books for the 15 years 100m backstroke – 58.20<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83c\udfca\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\" And Clara Carrocci takes the 15 years 200m butterfly record – 2:17.02<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Logan was also part of the 4x50m freestyle relay team that claimed the U18 and U16 records, while Georgia McAvaney and her team set a new benchmark in the U18 4x50m freestyle relay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both have spent hours (and hours and hours) on pool deck, supporting, encouraging and, sometimes, consoling our swimmers. Luke has been on pool deck every session for the past nine days!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
