It’s an enormous achievement to qualify for the National Open Championships and this year Norwood was represented by several swimmers: Arabella Bahr, Harrison Biddell, Noah Caton, William Gaertner, Fergus McLachlan, Isabel McLachlan, Matthew Pearce, Mia Slade, Emily White and Alana Williams.

Busting his own record again…

Harrison Biddell absolutely smashed his PB (and also the state record) in the A final of the 200 breaststroke at the Australian Swimming Championships, to finish 5th in 2:15.16.

In the same race, Olympic gold medallist Zac Stubblety-Cook broke the World Record, going 2:05.05, 0.17 seconds under the old record held by Russian Anton Chupkov.

Congratulations to our finalists

Arabella Bahr – 200 fly (B final)

Emily White – 200 fly, 400 free, 800m free and 400 IM (Age final)

Alana Williams – 200 IM and 400 IM (Age final)

Matt Pearce – 200 breast (B final)

Harrison Biddell – 200 breast (A final – and breaking his own State record, set at last month’s Australian Age Championships, in the heats this morning.)

GO NORWOOD. 💙❤️🏊‍♀️🏊🏻‍♂️🥇🥈🥉🏆 #gonorwood
