And that’s a wrap!

Congratulations to all our swimmers who have represented Norwood so wonderfully well at the 2023 State Open LC Championships. For a non-tapered meet, and coming off the back of an intense training block, there were plenty of PBs, lots of new and improved National times and medals galore. ❤️💙

Well done to Logan Rieck, who broke Kyle Chalmers’ Norwood record in the 14-year-old boys 100 backstroke. A very nice record to claim!

Well done, also, to our medallists …

Well done to everyone who managed to record a PB time, or earn a place in a final, and congratulations to our medal winners…

Massive thanks to Luke, who not only led the team during the competition, but who has put in so much time over the increased training period leading up to it.

Thanks also to club captain Emma Sleath, for supporting the swimmers on pool deck as team manager. Thanks, of course, to all our TMs, technical officials, parents and supporters. Our swimmers just could not do this without you.

We finished the meet as the second-placed SA club, an amazing achievement for a relatively young team.

Keep training hard, keep having fun and GO NORWOOD! ❤️💙
