What an incredible meet for Team Norwood, with plenty of huge PBs, new National times and lots and lots of medals.
Well done to everyone who competed over the five days … whether it was in a single event, or taking home multiple medals. You all contribute to the success of our great club. Our thoughts are also with those who had to withdraw, either before or during the meet, due to covid. We very much look forward to seeing you back in the pool soon.
Record Winners
What an incredible way to finish the 2022 State Age LC Championships, with Fergus McLachlan (17 years 50 back) and Emily White (18 years 800 free) both claiming state records tonight. Amazing swimming by two club stalwarts.
Congratulations to our medal winners

Norwood finished the meet in second place on the points score, with our girls topping the table once again! Huge congratulations to everyone who swam over the course of the three days. Making even one State Open time is an achievement, and you should all be very proud of yourselves.
Huge thank you to all our coaching staff (at the pool and at home!), our TMs and technical officials, particularly those who stepped in at the last minute to help out, and our parents and other supporters. Special shout out to Scott Simpson and Shaun, who had to re-do the relay teams over and over (and over) again, due to covid-enforced changes.
So, that’s it! For our swimmers who now enter the final training block before the National Age Championships, good luck. Train hard and have fun. Our older swimmers will also be counting down the days until the National Open Championships in May. For everyone else, good luck with any school carnivals, SAPSASA, SSSSA or other upcoming meets. We know you will be fabulous. GO NORWOOD.
